We are US citizens and (for now) serving in a Church Denomination that is in both the US and Canada. A church in Winnipeg is interested in my Husband coming to be their pastor. I have had 2 home births so far with no complications and I want to be able to do the same there.
Am I able to do a home birth as a US citizen?
Will Manitoba Health Care (provided through Hubby's job) cover this? (Even though we are US citizens?)
Thanks! I'm grateful for any help I can get.
Home birth in Canada is completely different depending of your province. Unfortunately I have no idea how things are in Manitoba. If it is covered by Manitoba's health care and you are getting that health care, then I don't foresee any problems... but many provinces do not cover home births.
