I had a water birth and I think we used 8-10 towels.

Haven't had mine yet, but my midwife asks for 4-6 bath towels, 4-6 washcloths, and 6 receiving blankets.

I had a water birth. My midwife wanted 10 of each, we used 4 towels and 2 blankets

I was planning a waterbirth, so we had at least 10 towels. He was a land birth and after those towels I think we used maybe 3 more. I am not quite positive.

I used about 4 with my waterbirths unassisted and more when I had a midwife attended waterbirth.
