Hi ladies. I hope you dont mind me popping in to see what you think about this.
I go to a parents group at my sons school once a week, and every so often they have speakers in to talk about things and give the opportunity for parents to ask questions ect.
Anyway, today we had a midwife come in. And at one point she was talking about homebirth and I said I would love a home birth, and she asked why I dont have one this time round and I said I cant as I have had a c-section.
She went on to say if its what I REALLY want I could have one, She even gave me the number of a midwife that has dealt with, and fully supports VBAC homebirths.
She told me I would be closely monitored during labour and if they had the tiniest concern I would be transferred to hospital straight away.
I had an easy, uneventful birth with my son (he is now 8) My c-section was due to a failed ECV attempt, so I have had a vaginal delivery too.
Now, I have been thinking about it all day and I am contemplating it. But, do any of you think it is a stupid idea?
