Hi ladies. I hope you dont mind me popping in to see what you think about this.

I go to a parents group at my sons school once a week, and every so often they have speakers in to talk about things and give the opportunity for parents to ask questions ect.

Anyway, today we had a midwife come in. And at one point she was talking about homebirth and I said I would love a home birth, and she asked why I dont have one this time round and I said I cant as I have had a c-section.

She went on to say if its what I REALLY want I could have one, She even gave me the number of a midwife that has dealt with, and fully supports VBAC homebirths.

She told me I would be closely monitored during labour and if they had the tiniest concern I would be transferred to hospital straight away.

I had an easy, uneventful birth with my son (he is now 8) My c-section was due to a failed ECV attempt, so I have had a vaginal delivery too.

Now, I have been thinking about it all day and I am contemplating it. But, do any of you think it is a stupid idea?

NO! It is NOT a stupid idea, at all! My 3mo was a HBAC and a very successful one

I would call that midwife

Thanks ladies. I am going to go and visit the midwife who supports home birth VBAC's and we are going to weigh up all the pros and cons and decide where to go from there

I would highly recommend a VBAC with a midwife. Success rates are much higher with a midwife.

There are more risks for both mom and babe with a cesarean than with a vbac.
