There is a great midwife available that travels , her office is about 1.5-2 hours away from me. Her office is that far but I was told that she is only about an hour from me, I don't know if that means she only lives about an hour from me. Any hoo would you travel that far? Most appts are done in her office except the home visits and birth but do you think that is a good idea?

I would. My midwife travels an hour away for births. She I believe is the only home birth cpm in my general area. It's all honestly a matter of your own comfort and if you want to make that travel distance each visit. I would do it for my midwife, I am that comfortable with her. Luckily I live in the same town as her.

Excuse typos, I'm on my iPod touch.

dEFINately.

I would want to have a homebirth (my home)., but prenatal care, I would definately travel.

I only had a midwife with my third, she lived over 300 miles away and I did travel to her for care, she travelled to me for birth and a post partum visit.

I would as well. My midwife's office was about 45 minutes away, and their houses a bit farther.
