I am mostly just a lurker but I am due April 12. The baby has been engaging in my pelvis for the last 2 weeks and I am starting to feel very anxious about having the baby already. My birthing room is pretty much all set up (we plan on having the baby in our guest room) and I only have 2 days of work left, tomorrow and maybe monday.
I am just about 38 weeks, when would it be ok to start encouraging the baby to come out?? I am really starting to feel "done" with this pregnancy...

You're so close

A lot of natural inductions don't work unless your body is ready to go into labor. Sex can help start the process, but again won't do much unless baby is ready.

Both of my pregnancies went over. My first was born at 40w5d and I went into labor at 40w3d (both early mornings, so the days are off haha) and my 2nd was born at 41 weeks exactly. I ate a big Thanksgiving dinner and went into labor a few hours later.

I for giggles had my husband talk to our son, to coax him out. Didn't work, but I had a good laugh

Hopefully your little one isn't too far from wanting to meet you. I bake a bit longer
