I am planning a home waterbirth this baby and have been researching pools. Alot of people seem to like the "fishy pool," which I personally find to be pretty practically (it's pretty cheap!). However, I would like to hear which pools you all have used and what you liked or disliked about them.

Thanks.

Our MW supplied the pool, which was the birth pool in a box
NEW! Birth Pool In A Box

We loved it! Both of us could fit in, the seat was handy, I loved the handles, used them quite a bit, the bottom was thick enough I couldn't feel the hardwood floors through it. Hoping next birth we'll get the same pool

I used a waterbirthing pool supplied by my doctor. It worked well for all my births. It wasn't cheap to rent though @200 dollars. But still well worth it.

I used "the fishy pool". I liked it, it wasn't my favorite... but it did its job. I had a waterbirth in a hospital's birthing center prior to my homebirth, and I definitely liked that pool better... but the fishy pool was cheap, easy to assemble and clean up. I spent most of my labor leaning on the side and it supported that just fine.

i am a fishy pool fan, it is $30 and it is soft sided and awesome! I don't want Kirk in the water with me.

I had two babies in the bathtub and I wouldn't recommend it, it is hard sided! I had the last two too fast to get my fishy pool ready.

We used the La Bassine. The fishy pool was our back-up. We did a trial run with both and I thought they were very similar. I was given the LB for free, I wouldn't have bought it. The fishy pool would have worked just as well.

This is the one I used also---And I used those handles a TON! I loved them, and the seat in the tub was great also for in between pressure waves. However I actually liked the birth ball IN the shower with the shower hitting me the BEST for laboring....I got in my tub at 8cm for the delivery.....and it worked perfect! I wanted to be the one to catch baby and I was

I also used the one that Angela and Lindsey did. I also loved the handles when I was in it! Kinda wish I had him in the tub but come transition I wanted nothing to do with the water.
