Its sitting frozen in my freezer downstairs. I'm afraid to plant it since we don't own this house yet.

I'd love to find out what to do with my placenta. I'm hoping for a home birth this time around and have no clue what to do right now - I just know I don't want to eat it.

You can plant it outside. We had to freeze ours as he was born in a snowstorm last November. Our plans are to still plant it outside. Unsure with what tree though.

Ours went out with the trash. I gave birth at 1:50am, trash pick up was at 7am. by the time everything got cleaned up, we double bagged it in the garbage and tossed it out.

I have to admit my first pill was a little odd to take! LOL I could never "eat" it---I don't want placenta touching my tongue! *sick* but the pill form let me get the health benefits without the gross factor! hahaha
And they work great! My milk came in with in 48hrs and I have tons of it, NO baby blues at all, And my pp bleeding was only heavy for a couple days then very light for another week..thats it! I would recommend encapsulation to people, its very easy to do (you can pay someone to do it also--but in Chicago it was the highest in the country at $450! Thats insane to me!).

I dried/preserved Thuya's with sea salt and lavender. I am going to keep it like this until I come up with something sacred to do with it.

Plan was to dry and encapsulate it myself then take those, but after the birth and the stupid hospital debacle, I completely forgot all about it. I guess I need to throw it out now since it's almost 3 weeks old lol.

my mw encapsulated mine and I took them, starting 1 week PP. I took 2-3 for about 3 weeks then I took 1 for about 3 weeks or so. I still have them in the freezer and take them when I feel moody or very tired. They helped so much. I never got PPD!

Really?! That's so cool! I was seriously considering this if I had ended up having a home birth! Where did you get your information on how to do it?

I have one in the freezer right now too. It's been there almost two years! but we are planting it in a few weeks for babybird's 2nd birthday. His birthday present will be a tree and we will plant it in the yard with his placenta to nourish it's growth just as it did for him. :-)

We're planning on throwing it with the trash when our baby is born.
