Did your m/w do any of the newborn testing or screening? Did you opt out of any?

We opted out of the Vit K, and eye goop. We did allow the PKU test (the heel test) to be done. We didn't want to, and it ended up being done a few weeks after her birth, mostly because the Health Dept kept calling wanting the results. We figured we had already opted out of so much, and this was the thing they wanted, that we'd do it.

I think we will do the PKU but I plan to opt out of the eye ointment and probably the Vit. K also.

We'll probably opt out of the eye drops but we'll do the oral vit. K and the PKU test.
