whew! that was intense and i'm definitely glad it's over. the short story is i woke up about 8 to a small gush and my undies soaked. so i knew my water broke but i still didn't think it was going to be fast. i had my first contraction about 8:15 and by 8:30 i had to breathe through them. my first thought was, oh crap i'm really in for it because there is no way i've progressed enough in 15 to have to breathe through these. anyways, shortly after i was moaning through them. cathy(my midwife) got here and got everything set up. i don't remember exact times of anything(i'll have to look on the records when cathy gives them to me) but the first time that i was checked i was 7cm. i was COMPLETELY SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!! at the most i expected to be a 5! i got in the tub after that but wasn't in for long. as i got out, i had my first contraction that i had a little urge to push. i had more like that(again, i don't know times) but i actually pushed for 13 minutes and she was here. she was born at 11:51am weighing 8lb 13.5oz and she was 21" long. i had a lot of bleeding after and had to get a shot of pitocin, cyotec(sp?) up my bum(that was fun! ), and then an iv with more pitocin. we got it under control though so things are good. i'll get pics soon
