Did you, or do you plan to make and freeze meals ahead of time, for after the baby is born?

What were some of the meals that you prepared?

When I got to the third trimester with my son, I went into this strange mode where I lived in the kitchen. For three months I just made massive amounts of food, and froze it. I guess it was my way of nesting? But it was great because we actually had wonderful meals to eat all the way through November after Jonah was born (he was born in August) and I didn't have to do anything beyond microwaving or heating in the oven. I really wanted to eat healthy foods while I nursed, but I knew I wouldn't have time to cook properly. It was probably the best preparation that I did.

I will definitely be doing the same with this one. My favorite freezer meals were: carrot and basil soup, lasagna, chicken and rice, and vegetable soup. The carrot and basil soup was probably the absolute favorite though. DH has even asked me that since I'm pregnant, will I make it again LOL like he had to wait until I was preggers to ask me

Starting in october I'm planning on putting 2 dishes away each week. We have to also buy a chest freezer, b/c our combo fridge/freezer has very little space.

I'm planning on making quishe, lots of handheld foods- homemade hot pocket type things, and hearty warming dishes, plus lots of soups. I also want to freeze breakfast items and plenty of snacks- granola bars, muffins and popsicles. I'm hoping to have 3 months worth put up.
