Did you provide food for your midwives to eat during your labor?

I was thinking about this and I think I might ask what they like. I don't think they're vegetarians so I was thinking maybe a sandwhich platter type thing or something that they could sort of pick at while they're here. Good question and I gotta add it to my list of questions for my appt on monday!

We will be asking what foods they like and will most likely have some of the foods they like on hand so that they can eat too... Our rule is unless something is specifically for one person (i.e. a craving food) then it's fair game.

I meant to have food for my midwives, but it just didn't happen, LOL. If Kate had been born closer to her due date (and not a week late), they would have had food... I just couldn't manage the grocery store at that point in my pregnancy. One midwife helped herself to lollipops, and the other had spoonfuls of peanutbutter. I felt so bad, but they went out for food as well.

I'll probably have my mom or doula take something out of the freezer to cook for meals.

I will, but I have to ask them what they like.

Is it a leave a basket of fruit and granola bars out kind of deal or have a frozen lasagna at the ready kind of situation?

I guess we'll figure it out.

Hmmm... never thought of that. Guess I'll have to get some fruit/veggie/meat/cheese platters or something. Then again, those will probably go bad quickly, so I'll have to have something else on hand.
