Finally feeling mostly prepared! my mom and sisters came and did some deep cleaning of my house last night as a surprise, so that takes a load off! I have a few things left to clean and a few diapers to make. Still need to get all the birth supplies together, but that's it. I have everything except the tub, just gotta put it in one place!

Otherwise feeling okay. TONS of low low pain/pressure, I think baby is moving into position. Quite a few people are "betting" baby will make his/her entrance this weekend, so we'll see!

I am SO jealous of you. I want someone to come clean my fridge, kitchen cupboards and baseboards soooo bad

As for me, I'm doing all right. I've got the supplies in a box and together, I still have to finish making some diapers, assemble the co-sleeper and figure out what the heck we're going to name the baby if it comes out a girl. Other than that though, getting there.

I'm definitely scared a little - I'm afraid:
-I'll go early
-I'll go late
-I won't be able to handle it and transfer for exhaustion
-I'll miss or misinterpret the warning signs for labor

To be honest, I'm not really scared anything is going to go seriously wrong. I'm pretty confident about that. It's just all the regular, little stuff that has me thinking.

We still don't have set name choices! Dh is a little freaked out about how SOON this baby will be here

Jess, a week or so ago I went to a birth-art session and she had us do some visualization exercises to work through some of our fears about the birth. Might be something that would be useful for you. Close your eyes and put yourself in the situation, look at everything vividly, details, the people around you, etc... and then change the scene to make it less scary. Make yourself deal with the situation actually happening and it makes it a lot less scary.

For me, the one I focused on was a long pushing phase. Because both my girls were born in under 3 minutes the thought of having to put effort into pushing the baby out was kinda scary. But this little exercise really helped me work through it.

He's great! I kid I kid. I was a Nov mama last year and he's going to be 1 on Nov 28th. It's weird because this time last year I was bleeding and we weren't sure if he was going to come early or not!

Kel,

I'll try that. I just had my first home visit with my midwife, so I can totally imagine her in my home now too. She even helped me pick a spot for the tub, so I can picture that too

I loved my homevisits with my midwives. It made the whole thing seem like it was coming together and comforable.
