I had my midwife appointment yesterday. I was supposed to be measuring at 27 weeks but I've been measuring a week ahead so I would've been 28 cm yesterday... Well, both my midwife and her predecessor measured me 3 times! I am measuring at 31 weeks! I don't ever remember measuring ahead with the boys but then again, I don't think I was told as to what I was measuring at all with the boys. They won't send me for another ultrasound unless they suspect that I have more fluid or I am measuring way ahead the next time I go in which is December 3rd. Is/Has anyone else measured 4 weeks ahead before/now???
My midwife didn't seem to concerned about it, they figure that maybe it was the way baby was sitting or that baby was stretching. I was also having BH when they measured me too...
At one point with Julia's pregnancy (I honestly don't remember when) I measured about 4 weeks ahead. But at the next appointment, it as back to normal. I'm sure it was probably just the baby was sitting or stretching. I think the important thing is to make sure its not an every visit sort of thing.. like if you are continuously measuring 4 weeks ahead, then it would be a cause of concern. Keep us posted though!
I did at my last appt, though my mw subtracted 1 cm for my "fluff", so she said only 3 cm. She figures baby just had a growth spurt, since my weight gain had been very consistent but was a little more than normal that time. With my first DD I started measuring a couple wks ahead around 30-32 wks, and stayed that way. So I think for me it may be normal.
