I was teasing dh the other day who is still only reluctantly on board that he could have beer and popcorn during "the show", lol. He got a good laugh about that one, but I was thinking seriously I might just give him a beer so he'll chill out a little. My dh does not drink often, but he does drink a beer or two during a game and what not so I thought it'd be a cool perk for the homebirth.
Sounds good! My DH is really involved with my pregnancy, and he wants to catch baby as he comes out, so no beer for him. But a good perk is that after baby is born we all get to go and cuddle in our own bed.

The beer was a perk for my DH as well!! He had 2 beers while I was in early labor and we were just hanging out with us. When Kate ended up needing a bath (after pooping on herself like 5 times after birth), my midwife graciously took the beer bottles out of the sink first... she knew I wouldn't want the beer bottles in the background in the pictures of her first bath. LOL
I attended a homebirth of a family and the dad was like this is the way to go! He mowed their whole HUGE yard, cleaned the carpets, Cooked like 3 meals, and peeked in every now and then. It was so funny.
