I plan to. I haven't seen a doctor for women care in I don't know how long. If something didn't work out with my current midwife I would find a nurse practitioner or midwife for well women care, but I plan to see mine since she does do well woman care.
Yep! Just had the most painless, comfy pap smear last week from my midwife. I've been to 2 midwives now for well woman care and I would not even think about a regular GYN now unless there was a problem.
I probably won't be since she doesn't take insurance. I can submit my bills to my insurance company for reimbursement, but a yearly appt doesn't make my deductible, so really its not something we'll do. Back when I had my ovarian pregnancy and surgery, I had a WONDERFUL male Ob/GYN. I had never seen a male before, but was very impressed with his bedside manner and skills. I will probably see him for my well woman care, but I'd never deliver a baby with him. He's a great GYN.
