We have a choice of an inflatable birthing pool with no heater or a foam sided birthing pool with a heater... Our water heater is only 30 gal. and I don't know how we're going to deal with keeping the pool warm without a heater.
we used an inflatable which I really liked (especially the padded floor!!) We have a regular size water heater and didn't have a problem filling it. We just filled with straight hot water until it ran out, then cold until it was the right temperature. Every 20-30 minutes or so we'd add a little more hot water as needed.
