So we're still ttc...but I've always wanted a home water birth. I was finally starting to sway DH's mind but now I worry that it won't be able to happen. I have had three miscarriages and was recently diagnosed with a clotting disorder. Anyone know if I stand a chance at being able to have a home birth? (I do not want an unassisted birth.)

I've had 4 miscarriages and a history of hemorrhaging and I am planning a homebirth. It took me a little bit of looking to find a midwife to see me, but so far things are looking good. I think if you take your time and look around you can find a midwife that is a good fit for you.

Thanks, Teresa! I hope I can find one. I have a wonderful OB office, but I don't want a hospital birth at all. Giving birth doesn't scare me, giving birth at a hospital TERRIFIES me.

BTW, Teresa, CONGRATS. Get over to RPL and update us.

Hey Augie, I'm having trouble finding a midwife that will take me because of repeated pregnancy loss and an incompetent cervix. But I am determined to make it work!
