I do not like honey so doubtful you'll get me to try that one. My labors are usually fast and the idea of eating anything just doesn't sound appealing to me.

I'm also not a fan of honey and I couldn't eat a single thing my last labor. They made me drink emergen-c to keep myself hydrated. It wasn't forced but honestly I wouldn't have thought about drinking it haha

I wasn't supposed to, but I did LOL. There was a store near our old home that sold them, in the section with the teas. They were perfect because they were so tiny, no one noticed I was eating them.

I honestly don't understand the whole not eating thing in the hospital anyway- they still intubated me when I went to the OR for a d&c afterwards. Scratched my throat so badly that I couldn't eat for nearly a week. I was SO mad, I mean they just should have fed me if they were going to intubate me anyway, isn't that the point????

Sorry to go off on a rant LOL I have a lot to rant about when it comes to Jonah's hospital birth. But yes, I did use them and yes, I thought they worked. Better than ice chips anyway

oh, they were called honey straws where we got them from. That might help you if you're looking for them

I haven't tried honey while in labor but processed honey is to sweet for me, I would try raw honey, it's thicker and so so delicious!

I believe in labor I ate Panera Bread broccoli cheese soup and cinnamon crunch bagels with honey walnut cream cheese... So I guess in a way I did have some honey

I was eating like crazy during my labor. I consumed fruit, crackers, cheese, juice and I think that it really helped me. I wasn't at all tired from my 16 hr labor.

I too grew up eating these a child...they were a big treat! You know, they say it's good to have things that remind us of our childhood and/or other happy times! So this just may serve for more than one purpose!

During my last labor, I was too nauseated to eat anything, so I had some emergen-c, and I think it helped. I think I may try the honey this time as well!
