Anyone doing a home birth and plan on having an enema during the first stage of labor? Has anyone used one maybe even with a hospital birth instead? It was brought to my attention today that I can "opt" for one if I'd like. lol. Makes me giggle.

I didn't have an enema with Lily and don't plan to with this baby either. I did naturally have diarrhea when contractions first started with Lily and it cleaned me out.

No I don't plan on having an enema. I'm sure my body can handle getting itself cleaned out on its own.

I had diarrhea at first with both of my mc - so I expect labour will be the same. (it's kinda my bodies reaction to any excitement - tmi - sigh . . .)

I won't be having one. My bowels cleaned themselves out while I was in labor.
