My SIL is going to try for a homebirth this time around. She is looking at waterbirth tubs and wanted to know what kind people would recommend.

Thanks so much for any advice!

My doula rents an aquadoula tub. I've heard of people having good experiences with plain old inflatable kiddie pools, the 100-ish gallon sizes so you don't run out of hot water too fast.

I am renting my midwife's TheraSpa tub this time around. Last time I just used our garden tub in the bathroom which was great but our bathroom is pretty small and there isn't enough room to have everyone in there for the birth this time.

This is the one I used:

Aquarium Pool for home water birth. Water Birth Pools and tubs Accessories from Your Water Birth

I would have rather rented a more expensive one, but that wasn't an option at the time. For $35 this pool worked fine... but this time I'm going to try to come up with the money for one of the better ones.

I always hear good things about Birth Pool in a Box and La Bassine. I'm going with the AquaBorn pool.

Im not sure what tub Im using, my midwife said it comes as part of her fee, so no extra "renting" cost - and she brings her own "birth kit" as well so thats all covered.
