Does your state require your midwife to have a Written Practice Agreement with a physician?

Ours does, but there is a bill up in our state assembly to remove the requirement. I've already written one letter in support. I hope it passes!!!

Supposedly yes (i think). I remember reading something like that on the form I signed for my midwives. But they don't have to have clients meet with the OB or anything like that.

Same with us. We don't have to meet with the physician or anything. I don't even know who it is. The state just requires them to have this written agreement in order for them to practice.

not to my knowledge. My midwife has physicians that she consults in extreme cases, but I don't think it's required. I admit that I might be ignorant about such a law though!

Not that I'm aware of. My midwife has an OB she uses for backup, but only because she wants to.

I'm pretty sure ours does not. They submit their own massive document with the state but I don't think an OB is a part of that.
