We're still waiting on baby. I've tried everything from having the kids talk to baby and asking it to come play to DTD, nipple stimulation, pressure points, spicy food, walking, visualization, relaxation... I even tried castor oil (TMI) especially since I was constipated and couldn't poo... Any other ideas that we haven't tried??

I don't mean to whine, I really don't... I'm just getting impatient and it doesn't help that we keep getting the "haven't you had that baby yet" phone calls.

Callophyllum did it for me. I probably spelled that wrong, but a quick Google search should correct it for you automatically LOL

Good luck!

Red raspberry leaf & Black cohosh tea/herbal supplements have been said to trigger labor. Also Some ladies recommend pineapple, or the famous Eggplant Parmesan recipe (I believe it's listed in the NCB board).

Also I just read that Fenugreek (taken to help develop a healthy milk supply) should be avoided during pregnancy(which I was bummed to find out), because it can cause "uterine irritation" or contractions, and has been known to cause pre-term labor!....I've never heard of it being taken to start labor, but maybe worth researching(?)

Hope baby decides to make his/her appearance soon!

Thanks ladies.... Heather - I'll have to do some research on the Fenugreek!

Well, this was not the post I was hoping to see

I guess this little one really wants a February birthday! I really hope they decide to come soon for you. My best friend is due tomorrow and has been ready for baby for awhile now.

Good luck

Turkey. It makes your muscles relax. My husband was born on Thanksgiving after his mom ate turkey. My SIL went into labor with her son after Thanksgiving and same SIL went into labor 30min after eating turkey on Christmas Eve.

Pineapple was already suggested, spicy food.

Are you doing EPO capsules inserted in the vagina? I don't remember how man you use... I think 4 at night when you're full term. They always made me have contrax.
4 of the 500mg
or
2 of the 1,000mg

stairs
walking
scrubbing the floor (I think it's the back and forth motion and the use of the back muscles that make this happen)

Lots of luck to you!!! Kate was a week late, and I remember being so dang impatient and irrational that week. I really hope labor starts soon for you!

And I hated the "is the baby here yet" phone calls. HATED THEM!

Thanks ladies... we're still waiting but I've been having cervical pain when I walk and move, I've had some good contrax but nothing that is worth calling the midwife over. We were supposed to have an appointment this morning but pushed it back to Wednesday... Bryce was 5 days "over due" so they think this one will probably come in the next 24-72 hrs....

Zane was 12 days past due....

i recommend acupuncture. had it done because i had a week to have him otherwise it would have been medical intervention for everyones safety so i was determined. I was having irregular contractions an hour after I left, labor started 3 hours after I left and Zane was born 24 hours after I left.

(I tried everything else too...pineapple, eggplant, curry, jalepenos, curb walking, swinging, jumping jacks, yoga ball bouncing, DTD, castor oil, blue cohosh, nipple stimulation, walking on the beach- hard walking in the sand, red raspberry leaf tea, EPO)

good luck
