I'm hoping to have water and maybe "emergen-c" during labor.

I had water, not sure it helped or not but my bladder was so full after pushing Lily out that I let them drain me before I delivered the placenta.

I have always had water throughout every birth. It helps a lot I think.

I had water, I didn't really think about it but I think it would have been very hard without it.

My midwives required me to drink fluids during labor. My drink of choice was gatorade. I believe it was Artic Frost flavor.... I just know it was the lighter blue one and the only one I could stand while I was pg. LOL

My midwives says it keeps your energy up and keeps you hydrated. I also snacked on grapes during labor, but stopped once I hit transition!

I did drink during labor. I think it was just water though, I can't really remember.

I'll be sipping on water and apple juice. With my first, I didn't drink much liquids, but I ate yogurt every hour.

My midwife made me drink water, and after awhile put some Emergen-C into it. Otherwise I would have been fine with just water.

I drank some water, but mostly chewed on ice! (the crunchy stuff from the hospital) It just felt good to crunch through a contraction
I also drank Emergan-C! (Thanks to Marisa (inyourhonor) for the idea)

I had Gatorade the first time and I barely agreed to take tiny sips every now and then. The second time I wanted Vitamin water and I actually WANTED it sometimes. Even if you don't drink it I'd always suggest keeping something you KNOW you like close by, just in case.

I drank a mixture of Alfalfa and raspberry tea.
My midwife was very impressed on the fast labor. Who knows?

I drank Strawberry Kiwi Gatorade, and sometimes water.

Of course it helps! Dehydration is a really huge obstacle in labor if you're at home and not hooked up to an IV. My mom attributes how awful her labor was to the fact that she was dehydrated.
