I had a postpartum visit today! Violet is doing great, she is 5 days old and weighs 7lbs, 14oz (birth weight was 8lbs, 5oz). I'm doing great as well, just dealing with a slight crack in one nipple from a bad latch. They did the PKU screening today as well. She still has a hematoma on her head from her positioning during the birth, but it is going down a lot.
I also have an appointment on the 6th - two actually, the first is my doula appointment but we set it up so that she and my midwife can meet. Then that night I am having my regular midwife appointment and bringing DH along for the first time.
My next will be on the 15th. My last appointment was on March 17th and it was pretty boring. Got a rhogam shot, listened to the baby. We had taken Jonah in anticipation that he would listen to his sister too, but who were we kidding, the kid is one LOL he ran all over the place. Midwife says Evie will be a small baby, but I think she's a week earlier than we think. I wasn't charting as dutifully as I ought to have been that month, so it's very possible that I had my O date wrong.
Now I'm waiting on a call from my last blood tests that I had drawn last week to see if the levels of that antibody have gone up at all.
