I'm calling my midwife tomorrow (unless it gets worse, in which case I will page her asap) I thought I'd "talk" to you ladies about it now though.

I've been having contractions for the last couple of days. Most of them are definitely BH type, and just a little annoying. I can feel pressure, and my uterus gets super hard and I kind of have to stop and breathe for a second, but then after a little less than a minute it dies down. I had these all the time with Jonah's pregnancy so I'm not worried about them. But there have been some contractions that have really stopped me cold, and they HURT, like they did when I was in labor with Jonah. They only last for less than a minute as well, but I fee so bad because when it does happen, I don't want anyone near me, not even Jonah and he doesn't understand. I never had this with him; uncomfortable contractions before labor, yes, but not painful contractions that feel like labor. Is this normal??? There is no pattern to them; I could have a few within an hour, or I could have one and then nothing for hours etc.

Make sure you are getting plenty of rest, water, and protein. When I had false labor my midwives told me to first try laying down if I was sitting/standing...or walking around if I was laying down....drink a TON of water (like 2qts), and then I had to consume a lot of protein...if my labor persisted (it did)...then I was to go in....(it was early and I had to go the L&D)....it ended up being that indeed I was having contx but I overdid it the day before and my body was retaliating against me! LOL...so anyway....If you havne't alreayd been checked or haven't called...make sure you are plenty rested (if possible )...and drinking plenty and eating plenty! HUGS

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Drink tons of water! I had contractions around 22 weeks this time and it was because I got dehydrated. I would definitely talk to your midwife about it as well.

I agree about the water, rest and protein. I know the protein thing is hard for me, heck its all hard for me... but when you have enough of all three, the BH contractions should die down a bit. Good luck!!

I went into L&D at 31 1/2 weeks b/c I was getting like 8 B/H in 30 min. Basically we think I got to dehydrated - since after drinking a bunch of water it all calmed down and went away. Since there is no pattern - I think you are probably fine. I would just drink more. I have read in your second pregnancy the B?H can be stronger - and in the 3rd trimester that can actually start to hurt. So the combo of second pregnancy and 3rd tri - is probably what's doing it.
It can't hurt to talk to your midwife - but I wouldn't be too worried.

Thanks everyone. I ended up not calling her because I didn't have any all day. But then in the evening I was having a couple so I layed down in bed. We went to the park and sat out in the sun, and I was also in the sun a lot on Friday. I am pretty vigilant about how much water I drink, but maybe with the sun I just didn't get enough. I have noticed that they seem to come after doing activity, like cleaning the house or something that takes a lot of walking. This afternoon we went to the park, and when we got home is when they started. Maybe I just need to set aside some time for me to put my feet up
