I had a m/w appointment today. There is a little concern about my BP, it was high last time, but we attributed it to me being a little stressed, I had all 3 girls with me, we were getting to go out of town, etc. My BP is normally a perfect 110/60... never have any concerns about it before...
Today it ran high again, we ended up taking it 3 times, and by the end it was down to 140/70, so that was good, but boy was I nervous, the first two readings were much much higher. I don't have any swelling, and my urine is perfect, so I guess everything is fine, but boy I was worried for a bit.
Other than that, everything is going well, baby is measuring perfectly and sounding good. No real concerns. Set up my next 2 appointments, then I start going weekly and I'll have a few home visit appointments.
Even if you're not big, you might ask if she'll try the bigger cuff next time?
Did she give you anything for it? I know my midwife had my friend on CalMag spray for the last half of her pregnancy and I know for a fact it's what kept her from having to transfer care to an OB. Passionflower tintcure can work wonders too!
I hope your blood pressure stays down! I am paranoid about my BP because of how it went up with Jonah. I know how worrisome it can be to have it go up. My midwife told me that it is only a mild concern until I start to swell or have protein in my urine. So that is a good sign that you don't have those! I'll think calming, low blood pressure thoughts for you and Baby!!!
