June 20 at 6:15pm, weighed in 8lbs 14.9oz, 20.5in, 14.25in head.
FINALLY! We're fairly certain he was at least 14 days late, but his placenta looked GREAT. He was born at home after 18 hours of labour, but only 4 hours of *active* labour. He had a very short cord, and it was a nuchal cord, and it was wrapped around one arm as well. He came out a gorgeous shade of blue (LOL) but screaming bloody murder, so he scored 9 & 9 on the apgars. We transported to the hospital for maternal hemorrhaging, got home last night (left AMA).
I'm feeling a LOT better after a good night's sleep, and Elias is nursing wonderfully, showing slight signs of jaundice, so he's getting a sun bath with Daddy right now.
Congrats! I've been wondering if you had the baby yet!!! I love the name Elias, and I'm glad you're feeling better. Sleep and lots and lots of rest really help after that (I had hemorrhaging after Jonah, and slept for about two weeks straight!)
How is Rebecca doing with her new brother??
Click the blinkies!
Thank You, Pattyandthemoos, for my beautiful siggy!
Rebecca ADORES him! She goes to look at him every opportunity she gets, thinks she should carry him around (LOL), and makes sure he's okay ALL THE TIME. We're having to keep a really close eye on him because she thinks she should be able to carry him around, but other than that, absolutely no issues whatsoever!
