They say that full moons and thunder storms help bring babies... Well, we had BOTH over the weekend, and nothing!

My 39 week appointment went great. Baby was OA, but now turned back to his/her favorite LOA position. That means Tootsie (I nicknamed baby's foot) is back in my right rib cage. Baby's head is engaged, but I think s/he is still able to move up and down, sometimes it feels real low, sometimes not. I'm having no cx, no mucus or discharge, not even that many BH. I've had some cervical changes, but nothing dramatic- def. effacing (though I don't know how to tell how much) but dilated to *maybe* 1. Don't know why I bothered checking, because I know it really doesn't mean anything anyway. Feeling like I could easily carry another week or two. Good thing I'm feeling great!

I heard the same about storms and full moons. I hope the baby decides to come out soon for you but I'm glad you're still comfortable!

My midwife swears by the thunderstorms thing. She told me she's never had two births at once, but the times that she's been >>>this<<< close there has been a thunderstorm. A week before Evie came, she had three babies on one night, and it was stormy. She must have been exhausted!!!

My due date was on the full moon and that didn't bring Evie, but she was born right before we had some absolutely horrible storms in our area- a lot of people were killed. If she had waited a few more hours, she would have been born in our sub-basement where we were taking cover

I've heard the same thing about full moon/storms too. It stormed right after my DS was born, like within 30 minutes!

Glad all is going well!! ELVs!!! can't wait to meet this surprise!

Glad you are feeling well! Eleanor was born the night a tornado came through our town. I was hoping the full moon and stormy weather might coax this little one out too, but so far no luck.

We had no luck with either tale either. No full moon, new moon, or storm got Elias coming out, he just had his heart set on Father's Day, apparently, lol! Rebecca was the same... she came on Veteran's Day, despite HUGE storms the week before and full moon and new moons coming and going.

Well ds2 was born during a thunderstorm Not the first one of the year though. We could feel the weather change, and we knew storms were coming. DH kept telling me I was going to go into labor because of the atmosphere pressure. Well when the first storm came, nothing. But then another change in the atmosphere came and sure enough, water broke, and 24 hours later I had a baby.
