What do you do in early labor to help pass the time?

Read, watch movies, run to the store for those last minute things. I try to rest some as well if labor starts at night.

Depends on the time of day...
If in the evening/night- try and rest as much as possible!
If it's during the day- Clean(like tidy, not deep cleaning!), cook, and rest.

With Maya when I was in early labor I just hung out online, watched on demand Desperate Housewives and ate light (bone broth soup, walnuts)
Pretty much just had a lazy day! LOL It was so much nicer than going to the hospital to "get checked"

Last time I read, surfed the internet, watched tv, took a shower/did makeup and hair and did laundry.

This time I plan to knit, bake, and do things with DS if he's awake.

With Katelynn I did the dishes, took out the trash, updated JM, and took a long hot shower.

With both now (though i wasn't contracting with Rebecca), we went for a walk at the nature park, did some light cleaning around the house, and packed up stuff for 'just in case'... and then watched a movie, lol.

Well water broke at 1 am, so I went back to bed. Contractions started around 2:30 or 3 am but I stayed in bed until 5 am when I couldn't lay down anymore. I got everything ready. Layed out the birth kit, set up the birth pool and started filling it, made some snacks, got pans out for the pool later on, talked to family, went for a bunch of walks around town.

With Paul's labor, I didn't do too much, early labor started around 2am, so I spent the first 4-5 hours trying to rest and sleep. I spent the morning taking care of the girls and then by the afternoon labor started picking up so I just hung out in bed or in the bath.

I did black friday shopping online, watched 3 movies and some golden girls.

With my oldest I hung out at home.

This time, i'll probably mess around online, sleep or watch movies again.

I got my midwife to like The Road to Wellville haha

I had pretty bad early labor for a good 24hrs. I thought it would be like that for a few days so I just did my normal day cleaning etc.. I did call into work since I barely slept the night before because of pain. I was angry that labor wasn't happening so I cleaned my entire apartment and mopped the kitchen floor and the contrax got worse. After that I put Kailey to bed and got in and out of the bath/slept until midnight, then watched movies while in labor until transition.
