Do you keep in touch with your midwives? or maybe your doula or other birthing support team members?

I'm surrounded by doulas and midwives in my day-to-day life However, MY midwife I don't see a whole lot. I've run into her here and there and she just joined facebook (finally) so hopefully we'll get to chat more. I email her frequently too.

My midwife and birth photographer are two of my closest friends. In fact 4 of my kids are out swimming with my photographers family right now in the hopes that labor will pick up with a quiet house I see my Doula several times a year and we have kids close in age.

off and on through facebook. i know it'd be more often if we were still living in CA instead of the UK, since they are in CA.

My midwife is a friend and lives about 5 minutes away, so we see each other pretty regularly.

Sadly no. Our Midwife has kind of blew us off once we were done with our postpartum visits. We had some trouble with our birth certificate and she just kept telling us they had to accept it, rather than trying to help us. We also let her borrow a birth pool for one of her other clients who gave birth a month after me. She still hasn't returned it, has been almost 3 months now, and every time I email her or call her I get no response. However, yesterday she has finally contacted me and my DH is going to pick up the pool. It is weird she has started to be this way. She was very compassionate and professional during the course of pregnancy. I am thankful for the spectacular pregnancy, birth and postpartum care that I recieved. However I'm disappointed things went this way after words. Will have decided to not use her again for our future children.

My midwives are both on facebook, and I do see them a bit outside of my care. They rent office space from my children's pediatrician, so we will run into them from time to time there.

I only have two options. Used the same MW with both pregnancies, not happy with her and not happy with the other option. Next pregnancy will be unassisted because I don't like either MW and we live across the street from a hospital in case of emergency. I am also considering one of the birthing centers around here too.

I used the same mw with my first two pregnancies and births and up until a few weeks ago I was still seeing her. But we moved, so she had to reccomened someone new for me. I still talk to her though now. I've gotten pretty close to her and I send her pictures of the kids all the time.
