**Update
Version was successful! Thanks for your T&Ps. I was painful but worth it. Trudy was sitting cross-legged with her butt completely wedged into my pelvis which is why I thought she had dropped. There's probably no way she would have flipped on her own. Just pray she stays where she is!
I'll schedule another ultrasound this week to make sure she is still head-down and to check her fluid level. Though the levels were low, they was still on the low side of normal (seven) and I was somewhat dehydrated from being stuck in the hospital with nothing to drink for hours. Hopefully all will be well and the home birth will proceed as planned. T

Went to see my midwife for a routine visit and requested an internal exam. Cervix was waaay posterior and I was dilated a fingertip if that. After she finished checking, I started bleeding enough to soak a pad so off to L&D we went where we waiting three hours for a doctor to see us. You could tell he was POed that he'd missed his golf game or whatever he was doing for three hours (still in street clothes) and was very condescending to all of us.
He proclaimed "oh she's fine I've seen women soak a pad with cervical checks. I can feel the head right there. Probably just show.
So my midwife had it out with him in the hallway for 30 minutes after which he ordered an ultrasound. Found out baby is breech, I have low fluid, and she is only measuring 35.5 weeks. Thank God for a good midwife who demanded the doctor do more! The nurses even told me afterward "you are in excellent care."
Tomorrow morning we are going back to the hospital where the same doctor (ugh) is going to attempt an external aversion. If it's successful and my fluid levels haven't plummeted at the next ultrasound in a few days, I can still have the home birth. If not, looks like a scheduled C-section.
Please pray that she cooperates and turns!!

Why are they trying to turn her now? You're 37 weeks, shouldn't they wait? I'm asking honestly because I don't know what the "cut off" time is for baby to flip on it's own. I've not heard very good things about external aversions... have you checked on spinning babies?

It's actually best to try earlier than later (more space, and better success rate)...so long as you have a Dr who is calm and comfortable doing it.

Glad everything went well! I hope your fluid levels stay up and you get your HB! Oh, and kudos to your MW for standing up for you!

Oh the more space makes complete sense now, thanks for explaining

I'd never even heard of the procedure until yesterday so I don't know. I trust my midwife though.

That makes sense I guess. He has done a lot of them and has a high success rate. My MW was jazzed about that even though he treated her like crap.

As long as he is medically accurate that's a plus. His animosity I'm sure is towards the whole homebirthing thing.... which he can just get over
