We did not want to keep it or burry it, but the local woman who does most of the encapselating services is working in conjuction with UNLV to do some sore of placenta study so they take donations. They are more than welcome to mine so I am donating it.
I have both of my boys placentas, dried and preserved with sea salt/herbs. I am waiting to plant them at our house (when we have one). I want them to return to the earth and nourish it, just as we all will eventually.
