How long before you gave birth did your midwife come over?

Let's see labor started around 6pm, we didn't call her until around 5am saying I was in labor. she asked if we wanted her there- I said no not yet, it's not that painful...about 4 hours later we called back and had her come, well actually the other MW came, but didn't arrive until almost 11am....she stayed until 10pm. 2 hours after DS was born. So she was there for 11 hours or so.

Labor started at 11pm, I believe she showed up around 330am-4am and Dane was born at almost 2pm. So almost 10 hours.

Bishop, she arrived I think 3 hours before he was born? Short labor though!

once actual labor started (I had 2 days of prodromal/early labor) I called her after about 3 hours when it was clear it was the "real thing". She ended up getting there a little more than 3 hours before Kya was born.

with Courtney (hospital birth) the midwife came to my house about 8 hours before she was born and stayed by my side the whole time except the 5 minutes it took to drive to the hospital (separate cars).

with Nola, I met my midwife at the birth center about 1.5 hours before she was born, but she was only "with" me for about 20 minutes of that time.

I called my m/w around 3am, she came over around 9am then left while I was in early labor. Her assistant came over around 1pm, then she came back around 4:30pm, then my other midwife came around 6... he was born a little after 6pm.
