Did you have or are you having a birth photographer?

I really want to hire one but I am having a hard time finding somebody local! Any advice/tips?

I hired one and I was so excited to have professional photos of our birth. Of course I went into labor at 37 weeks and my photographer was away that ONE day. It was the one day all month she was going to be out of town. I had told her it was fine because I've always delivered after 40 weeks, so I never ever would have guessed I would have gone into labor then.

I have a friend who has a love for photography...I asked her to be there to photograph it....I'll then process them myself...since I'm a photographer on the side....but anyway...I've always just had my mom take photos (who is also a photographer) but she's so into the birth that she's more interested in helping than taking photos....I really want photos this time

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Birth photography isn't a thing here though I have a friend I met who lives in Scotland who will be here in England this weekend, so I'm hoping LO arrives this weekend so she can/will photograph the birth! If not my MW will be taking photos and I'll edit them myself so they look better I really wish we had better photos of DS birth, the MW had our camera on the wrong setting= so the pics are red, blurry, grainy and not the greatest. Wish I would have looked at the camera but that's the last thing on your mind of course! lol.

Yea, I don't have any friends who would be willing to photograph a birth I mean my sister is amazing with a camera but she is a 'sign me up for a csection' type, if you know what I mean! I will ask the MW if she has any recommendations! This is definitely our last child so I want to capture as much as I can! We only got a few pics of my last son being born because he was born so fast. My doula took them.

I will have my mom, step mom, mil and a great friend there to take photos and videos, so I will not hire one. I will do all the editing so hopefully everything will turn out alright.

My birth photographer started out as a Doula who was good with a camera and went from there. I did a quick search for birth photographers in your area and it looks like there is one in Long Island listed here:

If I were closer I'd offer to do it! I'm actually planning to become a birth photographer. I love it and want to give those who want memories like that pictures and not be someone there who is apart of the birth process.

My photos are from two extra people who attended. So they're not pro but I'm glad I have them.
