We had our first midwife appt today. It went great. Did all the normal birth background stuff...filled out information...told her I'd rather wait to have the Pap done after baby is here (I dont think it's wise to do while pregnant though I've had it done in my past)....

She did do a pelvic exam to see how big my uterus was..."nice and big" lol...

And did all other routine checkup stuff (the yearly stuff minus pap)....and then I did the pee sample stuff and EEK weight (i hate that part)....

I have to keep a food diary between now and next appt...yeah..she might get a good week worth LOL....

My ultrasound is next week....I wanted an early one so that I could get a good date AND to see if it's one or two....AND if it IS only one...then I'll not have to worry about accidentally finding out since it's way too early. SO YAY...I dont have to worry about the tech not caring about MY wishes....

I can't wait to see and hear this baby!

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Sounds like a great appointment! I can't imagine keeping a food journal for a whole month... you might get a week from me too, LOL!

Awesome! I think I'd probably be able to complete a day or two here or there...I'm horrible about keeping a food journal.

No, not really (twins in family)....I mean...there HAVE been twins...but nobody else has had any since then (my mom's mother's brother had a twin that died at birth because the doctor used dirty scissors to cut the cord)...

It's just more suspicion and wanting to be at the proper place from the beginning....between dreams, kids saying so, and my praying (before we got BFP) I just want to know what I"m carrying LOL

Yay for a good appt! I know what you mean about the food journal. I took the Bradley classes this past pregnancy, and I had to keep track of EVERYTHING(protein count and all) for a whole 12 weeks! It got easier as time went on
