If you gave birth in the hospital with prior births before switching to midwife for homebirths did the MW want or need your medical records of the hospital birth? Is this something that is necessary or is you telling to midwife good enough for previous pregnancy issues??

I never gave birth in the hospital but I did have the clinic print out the results of my blood test, with the immunities and my blood type and the like. That way she has a written record of it, and you know for sure you didn't forget something.
I don't think you need to, but it might be helpful.

The midwife I saw for my pre-conception, she said she didn't need my records because I was very in depth about my medical history. She is requesting that I see the OB/GYN she uses in emergencies just to rule out some possibilities of causes with my previous pregnancies to ensure a safe homebirth (which would have happened even if I had my medical records to give her because she thinks there is a possibility something was overlooked that caused me a lot of problems that shouldn't have been and we know they weren't checked for because we never had the tests done to rule them out).

When I had my appointment with my midwife she didn't mention that she'd want to see my previous birth records. But I was able to give pretty much every last detail anyone could ever hope to have.
I'm not even sure how much value midwives place on doctor's evaluations.

You planning on having your next one at home?! I hope if all works out for you. I remember how you toughed it out through 12 hours of pitocin with no epidural. A home birth should be a piece of cake for you, tough girl!

Our midwife said they could be helpful, but were not necessary.

Ours didn't ask for them...they just asked about previous births....As far as the labs...I ended up just doing new ones....I was going to skip but since they also test for anemia and such...I went ahead to make sure that I'm not low on iron and such....but anyway....since my insurance will cover most of it I wasn't too concerned about doing it again....otherwise I'd have skipped

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

My MW asked for mine when I switched from the birth center/hospital to her.

My midwives asked me about previous history, but since I had uncomplicated pregnancies and deliveries, they didn't request records.
