I'm so excited. After much debate, DH has agreed to a home birth. This is baby #4, and will be a VBAVBA2C. We met with the midwife last week, she stayed at our home for over 2 hours. It was so great. DH biggest complaint is the money. We're military, so a hospital birth would have been free. Now he has to pay several thousand dollars. We have heard that Tricare will pay for home birth, but our midwife is a labor and delivery nurse on the post hospital, and is in the reserves, so Tricare are telling her that that is double-dipping, and wont cover it. So dumb. I really need to see if we can find a loop hole to that.
She is open to barter, and we agreed that I will crochet newborn hats and make baby blankets for her. Fun!!
Anyway, I look forward to learning more and sharing this journey with you all.

Welcome and yay for homebirth. I'm also a military wife and tricare is covering almost half my homebirth. As long as u find a in network midwife they will cover almost half the cost. Good luck if u have any questions feel free to ask
