I'm Anna and have a 3 yr old daughter who was born in a birth center without drugs or any interventions. I'm almost 14 wks with my 2nd and having a planned assisted Homebirth. I am very excited.
I have a couple general questions for anyone who has any experience... I am skipping all routine testing--- including GB strep. I didn't test with my first, as she was born the day my test was scheduled for... at 37 wks 2 days. My water didn't break til about 5 mins before I started pushing so my midwife was fine with that and I agreed. This time I'm thinking about it... now if I tested and was positive, I couldn't have a homebirth... but here's my question. Are there any preventative measures or foods I could eat or whatever for it? Like I heard someone who was positive and they used garlic... but I don't remember. I have time, but am curious.
Thanks everyone! And looking forward to posting more here.
