Hey everyone I'm new here (not to JM, though I took about a 9 month long hiatus) but to this board
I'm Chelsea momma to Brylie [almost 3; 8/8) Hunter [newly 1; 5/2) and wttc until fall 2013 [right after I start nursing school, but it will only take me a year for my RN since i have all hte core classes done, so ill have the baby shortly after graduation hopefully ]
I've had two natural births - Brylie was an emergency induction at 37w due to HELLP disease - awesome induction as far as the situation goes...high pitocin, but no pain meds thanks for my hubby, nurse and bradley method classes [im now a bradley instructor] ... Hunter's birth was spontaneous labor at 40.4, and he was born 54 hours later...12 minutes after we got to the hospital ..it was pretty great, other than they didnt get the tub filled quickly enough so he was a land shark which i didn't want.....
for #3 i assumed i was going to the free standing birth center my CNM opened in December 2011, but she is SO busy now and only has 2 birthing rooms...i do NOT want to be the one that doesn't get a room and has to go to the hospital, or deliver in her "exam" room or something, so we are leaning heavily toward UC'ing.
I'm starting to research and educate myself as much as possible and would LOVE to talk to other UC moms - intended or unintended. So I hope you don't mind if I hang out here for hte next year I can't wait to get to know you all, share in learn from your inspiration and glow in your births with you!
