What were your desires?
What did you get?
Did your mind change mid-birth?

I wanted pretty hands-off... but I was a first-time mom and during labor I ended up being ok with some of the hands-on stuff. This time I'd like about the same experience but a little less hands-on. A little more time for me to relax and lay in the tub alone, etc. I'd also prefer to be checked less often (even though last time I was the one often asking to be checked because I was impatient. lol)

I want very very hands off until after I push baby out, then I'd love their assistance with the placenta and getting moved to bed etc...

I think I will only have them check dilation when they first arrive just to ensure I'm in labor (depending on how this next one goes, I don't generally know when I go into labor b/c it's either not painful or it's prodromal and feels the same as hard core active labor and lasts for days).

Ive always been a hands off sort of girl, i just want to be left alone during labour, until the baby is born, then like you, i dont mind some assistance with all that after birth stuff. Ive gotten more hands off with each birth, or maybe im just getting better/more comfortable with stating my preferences to others

I already told my MW that I just want her to be there. I would do it on my own but my DF feels better with a professional there. I definitely like the idea of help with clean up and moving to the bed etc.

I'm so excited!
