Did you have shadow care? What do you think about shadow care?

no ive never had it, i dont know if its common practice here or not, I think i would only see an OB if there was a possibility that i would have to transfer to their care, i wouldnt want to see anyone other than a MW for a typical pregnancy. I guess i dont see the point in seeing both unless there was a potential problem with the baby

Nope, I see MWs for a reason. OB's model of care does not jive with me. At all.

It was offered both times and we declined. I felt the same as both of you. I would though if it was possible I would need to transfer to their care. My midwives were good about letting me know who was naturally minded and who wasnt.

No shadow care for me - although I know all the OBs in our town and know their tendencies which could be handy in the event of an unexpected trip to the hospital. I don't really think in terms of a Plan B - I believe what you put your focus on (and thought energy into) has more power to manifest, so I don't.
