I had planned a homebirth... but unfortunately after labouring at home for almost one full day with little progress I decided to transfer to the hospital. I hope this isn't the wrong tone to start the thread off with. I still believe in homebirth with all my heart. I wish my girl and I could have had the beautiful beginning that I know is very possible.

Right now I am waiting anxiously for the phone call from my friend that labour has begun for her. She was "due" yesterday with her third. This will be her third homebirth and I have been there for the other two. Both of these birth experiences are ones that I treasure. I'll post more on this board when the babe arrives.

I am "planning" to have a UC in January or February, but I am leaving the possibility of a birth center birth open for now. The midwife that I have been seeing has a very nice two bedroom birthing home. I would prefer my own home though. If by chance we dont get the UC that we want this time around, I will most definitely have my next child this way. I am here to learn, and to prepare!
