I'm approaching the part of pregnancy where people start saying, "and where are you delivering?" up till now, the only people who have known about my birth plans are people close to me, so I haven't had too much flack....but pretty soon the stranger comments are going to start.. how do you guys deal?

I haven't gotten any flack from strangers... My MIL and her MIL (DH's paternal gma) both have said Oh, you're delivering at home are you? We'll just see about that. I'm pretty sure that if you stick your nose waaaay up in the air and plug it you'll get the exact tone that they had.

My big thing is to say I'm sorry you don't agree with my decision, I can give you studies proving that it as just as safe as if not safer than hospital birth and that's not a reflection on you and your choices. And if that doesn't go over then I say oh well,

I just told people it was what I wanted to do. when I got the "what if something happens" question I told them about how it was much safer than a hospital and if something happened she couldn't handle that I would go to the hospital (it's right up the road).
