What position did you birth in? Plan to birth in? I think hands and knees makes sense for me, but I could see myself squatting and catching that baby myself as well.

I was going to leave myself open to whatever feels right at the moment. Squatting sounds good as long as I'm not too exausted.

LOL that sounds too funny!

Well With my first I was sitting on a chair with a hole in it for most of the pushing... That was really good for me.

Well, I never had any "plans" with my second, but envisioned myself in a sitting squat. I ended up birthing in a semi hands & knees: on my knees leaning well over the side of the birth tub. I ended up hiking one leg up so I was resting on one knee & one foot, and somehow managed to turn over as she was being born & catch her & sit down once she was born.

Lala...

I always swore I would never push in the hands and knees position - any position sounded 'right' except that one - and guess how I ended up pushing??? lol!

In retrospect, my body got ME into the right position for the baby and my situation. I think simply listening to your bodies cues will give you the answer at the time.
