Can I just take a moment to say that I *love* reading your posts on here? I may be a UCer but if you were in Illinois or if I was in Louisiana you'd make me want to go assisted!

Well, you know...I have a UCer past with my second son. Yep, just me and my hubby. Oh and a little 4 year old running around. That was it. Planned for and loved it! I also try my very best to keep that experience at the front of my midwifery. I want the couple to be in charge. I want the couple to NOT depend on me. I want them responsible for that pg and birth. I want them to welcome me and use my experience. But I give it with no strings. I don't expect them to be one way or the other. I give as much as they take and no more. I try to get them to a place where they KNOW that they know more about their body, birth, and baby. I want them to say, I DID IT! I want them to feel that power! ROAR!

I don't know why more caregivers don't back off and stop all the poking and prodding...I do know that I don't have to do it! I can midwife the way my heart tells me too!

So, I think that is why we mesh, you and I!
I love your posts too!

I *heart* you too Chelita! I wanted to say thanks for giving me the time of day and answering my silly little questions and being there for all of us when we need support!

Awww, well we are all learning together. But I must say...you ladies make me feel so calm. If the mainstream gets to be too much...I can come here! You ladies have it all figured out...so I tend to stay over there more.
