So yesterday I went for my 2nd prenatal with my MW. My blood pressure was high again but she tried the larger cuff (I have fat arms, lol) and it was pretty close to normal-- 118 over 78!!!! Yippee!!! That made me feel a lot better. The baby is in ROA something something position and her head is part way in my pelvis! Her heart sounds great and everything is normal. Soooo excited! My next appointment is at 37 weeks and will be my home visit! It's getting soooo close! I'm terribly excited and just wanted to share!
Aww sweetie, that's so awesome. I was SO excited about my home visit, it was like the culmination of so many things, and like having a great friend come over. I'm thrilled for you, can't wait to hear how it goes, do you have all your supplies?

It is awesome! I guess it is a sort of sign that I really am so close to the end of this wonderful journey. This pregnancy has went by so fast it's hard to believe that I am almost full term!
We have decided that we are going to have the birth at our new home instead of my parents' house as long as everything is unpacked and settled in enough. We are trying to get everything ready so we can be moved in by Feb 28th. We have been sooo busy and I've been going crazy on the baby's room.
As far as supplies, the birth kit has already come and we've got most everything except for the rubbing alcohol, sanitary pads, heating pad and the shower curtains to cover the bed.
I was wondering, do homebirthed babies have to have the footprints and stuff that hospital babies get? I can't ever think to ask the MW. I know the tests are optional but I'm not sure about ID things like the footprints.
