Do you take your kids to well baby visits? Do you see a doc at all? Us...not so far. We'll see, won't be doing well baby though.

Rarely.

We go when we need something & because I like to see how much she weighs lol. But I try to avoid it at all costs especially when shes well - its where all the sick kids are!

Weve gone a couple times, once to get her established, once to get her vaccine waiver, and we will go again to get her physical form for daycare

We don't do well baby checks, it's our way of stickin' it to the man. Those visits are only there for vaccine mongering anyhow.

I go sometimes...when I feel like it, they hate me because even though I get the kids immunized, I do it selectively and on MY schedule, I don't allow more than one shot at a visit. My oldest dd didn't even get her "18 month shots" until she was 3 1/2....we just finished her up so she could do school next year.
I didn't want to immunize them at all, but dealing with the waivers and schools are a PITA...they want you to jump through hoops.

we see Dr Tom Jeffris in North Raleigh. I take my kids in once a year, sometimes, sometimes not. Im really bad about well baby visits since we dont vax.. though my doc is fine with us not vaxing. I just dont like to go unless they are sick enough that I think they need an antibiotic.

We have done all of our well baby visits so far with DS. We spent the first year of his life in Ecuador and vaxing was just not a question for me that time around. The risks associated with vaxes are simply lower than having an unvaccinated baby in a developing country. This time, living in the states I'm not really sure what I'm going to do. I 100% trust our pediatrician, she is wonderful and fully supportive of my homebirthing this babe. She has already offered to do a home visit after the birth if that's what we choose. I think I just have a bit more research to do on this one.

Ele has never been seen by a doctor! Hehe...I plan on keeping it that way until she absolutely has to. She did get checked out by a nurse after she was born, but I wish I wouldn't have had her now. That is all! Ds hasn't been to the ped since his 2 year check up (and shots ) 1 1/2 years ago.

Im in FL - we had to get a waiver for religious beliefs which wasnt too hard, just had to deal with the ding bat lady at the health dept lol.

In NC - It appears they allow for religious exemptions

http://www.909shot.com/state-site/NorthCarolina.htm

http://www.immunizenc.com/Exemptions.htm

(The second is a North Carolina State site!)

And the child care place cant refuse you as long as you have the waiver.

my kids regularly see the dr,
its a case of having too,

my DD aged 5 is in a wheelchair, and has severe cebral palsy,
and my DS ages 18months, has bowel problems,
and had to have major Surgery, and has been taken by air ambulance accross the country twice,

here in NZ, if the kids arent vax'd they can be refused from school's and daycare centres,

HMM I wonder if this baby is gonna come out with serious problems like the last 4 have, was only my 1st DS age 7 who hasnt had any medical prob's (yet)
