Hi there! My name is Jessica and this will be my 5th birth. My first 3 were hospital births and my last a wonderful homerbith. It was really expensive and so I had planned on going back to the hospital this time but the more births I attend (I've been a labor doula for 6yrs) the more sure I am that I can't go back. Sooo I called my midwives and they were more than happy to negotiate fee. I'm also a HypnoBirthing Instructor and soon-to-be certified Lamaze instructor.

Welcome! I hope everything goes well for you for this birth!

I'm just a few days ahead of you, and planning my first homebirth too. Just as you said - I'm also a birth doula, and the more in-hospital births I witness, the more sure I am that I don't want to do that again! Lucky me, I got to see one just last Friday...so I'm newly recommitted to the homebirth effort.

Glad you're here!

Welcome to the board. I think once you've had a homebirth, it is quite difficult to go back to the hospital. Congrats on baby#5. I am about to have my fifth as well.

Hello and welcome!
