Does anyone remember the movie that was getting some buzz a few months ago.. it was done by a guy who was shaken up after his wife gave birth to their child. he wanted to document birthing in America and what that experience was like. I dont remember what it was called, but I haven't heard anything else. It seemed like it was going to be a great natural birth/home birth movie

I got an email about a screening of this last Friday in Portland, OR (sorry for not sharing - I got the email after the fact) - but hopefully that means it'll be out soon. The email said:

"Pregnant in America examines the betrayal of humanity's greatest gift -- birth -- by the greed of U.S. corporations. Hospitals, insurance companies and other members of the health care industry have all pushed aside the best care of our infants and mothers to play the power game of raking in huge profits."

I can't WAIT to see it!

I got that email too, a few days after this thread started. I wonder if that means it will open up nationwide, or at least be made easier for the rest of us to see

I've wanted to see the Ricki Lake one was well
