I need some suggestions for what to get the midwives to snack on while they are here. My midwife is a vegan and I asked her what she wanted me to have. She said oh it doesn't matter... just no dairy, no animal products, etc... She said humus, but that is it!

I was thinking humus, crackers, fruit, munchy veggies, bagels... but then I draw a blank! The other midwife is NOT a vegan, so she will probably like different things.

Any suggestions?

Id be drawing a blank accomodating vegan diets too lol - but sounds like youve got her covered. I bought cubed ham & cheese (swiss, cheddar, and something else?), which was great b/c we could use it for snacking and it fills you up. Cubed chicken works great and so does lasagna. You can probably get or make a vegan lasagna - just have DH pop it in the oven when labor begins & everyone can feast by the time the baby is born

We did the lasagna, cubed ham, cubed cheeses, fruits & crackers & it was enough to feed everyone at the birth (and there were PLENTY of people) as well as US for probably a week! lol. It was great to have those snacky foods b/c it helped me to eat just a little here & there as I nursed the baby in bed

You've got a great menu out! Both ladies can eat. You might want to get some veg. dip and meat and cheese tray for the other lady and your self. You'll have a large variety. Humus is awsome. It tastes great. You can spread on whole wheat tortilla w/cucumber, bean sprouts, lettuce, tom, and ceaser dressing very good! Let me know how your birth goes.
